Our Dogs
All of our litters come from our own dogs, our pets! We take comfort from knowing every aspect of the pedigree, history, health, and temperament that is being passed on to your dog. We use EmBark For Breeders Dog DNA testing to screen for 250+ genetic health risks, and ensure best breeding practices in genetic diversity (coefficient of inbreeding).
Labs
Moses (Schroeder’s Prophet Moses)
We brought Moses home in 2017 from a long-time favorite breeder in Iowa. His size, structure, and aptitude for hunting skills back up his champion bloodline. His warm and friendly personality earns him his spot as our kids’ beloved “Momo.” He loves the outdoors - he begrudgingly slinks into the house at the end of the day and then quickly remembers how much he loves snoring on the couch.
Moses averages 95 lbs with a dark chocolate coat. He is an AKC-certified Purebred American Chocolate Labrador Retriever. His elbows and hips have all been evaluated and certified by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) to preclude hereditary joint problems like hip dysplasia.
Meadow (Schroeder’s Pretty Meadow)
Meadow came home just before Christmas 2018 from Indiana. She is a playful, snuggly girl who loves laying her head on your lap just as much as she loves chasing sticks outside! She is patient and loving, a great family dog. Her first litter whelped ELEVEN perfectly healthy puppies, and she cared for each of them - she quickly proved herself an exceptional mother.
Meadow is a 55 lb lab with a medium chocolate coat. She is an AKC-certified Purebred American Chocolate Labrador Retriever. Her elbows and hips have all been evaluated and certified by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) to preclude hereditary joint problems like hip dysplasia.

Schroeder's Huckleberry Finn
Meet Huck, the handsome patriarch of our Beagle crew! This stunning tri-color Beagle embodies everything wonderful about the breed. He's not just beautiful to look at; Huck is a vibrant and energetic boy who brings endless fun and a whole lot of sweetness to our farm.
Huck has a heart of gold and is absolutely fantastic with our children, displaying endless patience and a playful spirit. He's also a social butterfly, getting along wonderfully with our other dogs and all the various farm animals here at Schroeder Ridge Farm. His gentle nature and adaptable temperament make him a joy to be around for everyone.
Beyond his charming personality, Huck is a prime example of the breed's athleticism and keen senses. He loves exploring and embodies the energetic spirit Beagles are known for. He's a wonderful representation of the healthy and happy Beagles we strive to raise here. We're so proud to have Huck as part of our family and to see his wonderful traits passed down to his adorable puppies.

Bonnie
Schroeder’s Bonnie McMurray
Bonnie is the wonderful matriarch of our Beagle family! This sweet tri-color girl is a bundle of wiggly joy, always happy to greet you with an enthusiastic tail wag. Bonnie is more than just a loving pet; she's a fantastic mother, devoted and nurturing to her precious puppies.
When she's not busy caring for her little ones, Bonnie is an absolute explorer! She has a deep love for our farm, eagerly joining us for runs through the open fields and adventures into the woods. Her Beagle nose is always to the ground, and she has a natural instinct for the hunt, particularly enjoying chasing after rabbits.
Come warmer weather, you'll often find Bonnie happily splashing and swimming in the creek, or simply exploring every nook and cranny of her beloved farm. Her energy and zest for life are truly contagious, and she brings so much joy to our family. We're so lucky to have this sweet, active girl as part of Schroeder Ridge Farm and the loving mother of our adorable Beagle litters.
