PupFormation

Each puppy from our farm is loved and cared for by our family, from way before you take them home to be a part of your family! We started in 2006, building a breeding program of exceptional dogs. Our lines include champion hunting dogs, but the highest importance is on their lifelong health and temperament.

Our priority is to give your dog the best possible start during their critical first eight weeks of development. We know that their parents are healthy, well-mannered, generationally excellent dogs, and that they will pass on these traits. We add all we can by completing all their vet checks, dew claw removal, dewormings, and vaccines. Their temperament is geared towards a life as a playful, gentle, loyal family dog. While with us they are crate trained and weaned to solid food. They are well socialized to young children, other dogs and cats, and our various farm animals. They are crate trained in the evenings and spend their days outdoors on our farm interacting with each other, their parents, and our other animals. They play and run here to have fun, build their confidence, and their body strength too. Each pup develops their own unique personality here even in the first two months of their life, but the socialization steps we take are designed to help them feel confident and secure in a new environment, and ready to form a secure attachment to your family.

We do NOT house train our pups before they go, and we do not expose them to gun shot or begin other hunting dog training measures. A cornerstone of training a hunting dog is trust in their trainer and partner, which is you! Farm life does have loud noises and hustle and bustle, which begins introducing them to feeling safe in unexpected situations and staying calm and ready to listen.

We’ve registered the litter with the AKC, and will provide all the paperwork for you to complete to register your puppy if you choose, for limited AKC rights. Please reach out to us if you're needing full breeding rights.

Our current breeding pair is varied in their adult size. Our dam Meadow is 45 lbs and our sire Moses is 95 lbs! We expect their pups will land somewhere in the middle as average sized American labradors, of 55-70 lbs for a female and 65-80 lbs for a male.

Puppies will have had their initial vet health check, have had their dew claws removed, be fully up to date on vaccinations and deworming. We provide the dates and lot numbers of all vaccines administered and date of most recent deworming. Puppies will be on solid food by pick- up at eight weeks, and a bag of their food will be given to go with them to allow you to transition to whichever food you choose.

COST

We don’t charge differently for a male than for a female, and our price is firm at $1500 per pup.

We don’t accept barters or trades. Cash is expected at pick up. You are more than welcome to come out and meet our puppies before they’re ready to go home, and can choose a specific dog with a $100 deposit to secure them. This deposit is nonrefundable and is taken off of the total cost at pick up.

WAITLISTING

Addition to our wait list guarantees you a pup of your chosen gender if a preference is specified. In the case that our litter composition doesn’t allow us to offer your preference, you will be offered a pup of the opposite gender, or to be returned to the top of our waitlist for the next litter. All of our litters are Chocolate Labrador Retrievers. Genetically there is not any likelihood of any other coat colors appearing in our litters.

If you are interested in a different coat color, in an English lab, or in a puppy at a time of year where we don’t have any available, please let us know and we would be happy to refer you to another breeder in our community.
